The Brotherhood was created in the middle of the 19th Century.

In 1886, it won an award in Saint Malo.

It ceased to operate during the First World War.

On the 25th of November 1924, the Brotherhood is mentioned in the Official Journal,

its president and fonder was Doctor Hamel.

In 1940, the Brotherhood had to lay dormant and it started to operate again

only in 1974, thanks to the merging

with the Joan Of Arc Fanfare, by adding to its line-up its musical instruments and some

famous musicians like

Clément Mury, Léon Alliaume, Urbain Roisnel and Louis Feuillet who played some several more years, under the direction of Louis Feuillet, and then under Eugène Avril.

The Joan Of Arc Fanfare was mostly including men coming back from the First World War and some younger guys aged between 15 to 20. They were, but a few, but they were able to go on until 1927-1928 and to bring some adding value to our religious celebrations.

Then, the band did some progress, being requested for outside town celebrations, while still playing for public festivals, religious events for the Parish, sometimes collaborating with the city music orchestra for the torchlight procession on St Georges' Day and the 14th of July celebration.

During that time, the 11th of November was celebrated on the very same day and the two musical ensemble took part with the school chldren. Until the Second World War, it was a very good fanfare.

In 1945, those two companies separated again, then decided to collaborate again, Mr Contant LEPORTOUX becoming the new president.

In 1975, a majorette band lead by Mrs LEDUC came to join the musicians.

Since 1988, presidency was handled by Pierre Dubois.
